We are looking for a qualified, self-employed chef with culinary skills for our restaurant in Utrecht.

What will you do as a self-employed chef?

You will prepare meals yourself and help your new colleagues prepare them. Although we use standard recipes, this requires some practice. And you will need a pinch of patience, as not everyone immediately masters the finer details of cutting. It’s up to you to set an inspiring example and continuously monitor quality. If everything smells, looks, and tastes as you think it should, then the plate can go with the server. If not, you will intervene and kindly point out areas for improvement to your colleague. We also expect you to keep the place clean and safe and to have a hospitable, collaborative mindset. • You prepare all dishes according to a fixed recipe and teach others to prepare them as well.

  • You can perform prep tasks, such as washing, cutting, (pre)cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.
  • You can assess the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.) and prepare tools.
  • You can carry out preparations, monitor/check quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc., and make adjustments/additions.
  • You keep everything neat and safe and work according to HACCP guidelines.
  • You ensure that colleagues understand and embody the importance of hospitality.
  • You identify opportunities for improvement and report these back to the Head Chef.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:

  • Stress-resistant.
  • You are a team player but also able to work independently within your responsibilities and expertise.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques. • You are from the Netherlands, the EU, within the EEA, or Switzerland and have permission to work here in the Netherlands.
  • You have completed a training program equivalent to a chef’s training program at a minimum of MBO-3 level and can provide supporting documentation. If you do not yet have that level but are willing to learn to achieve it, you can also apply.

We are seeking a reliable and efficient dishwasher to join our team. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. Your duties will include operating dishwashing machines, hand-washing certain items, organizing clean dishes, and assisting with kitchen cleanup tasks as needed.
